Since our inception, Alcomet has supported the Renewables industry as they connect to the UK network. Including:

Wind

We supply materials for the onshore substation as the electricity is converted to the correct voltage in order to be fed into the Grid network. We have provided materials to many key UK Wind Farm projects including:

• Dogger Bank Offshore Wind Farm
• Seagreen Offshore Wind Farm

Solar

We supply materials for both the converter substation and MV/HV substation as the solar power is connected to the grid. This includes earthing cable (which is available in sizes from 50mm Hard Drawn up to 300mm Hard Drawn), but also the accessories need for fitting such as the compression terminals, clamps, cable tiles and tooling.

Our range also includes WPD approved 7 Strand Hard Drawn Copper Conductor for use on PV Array Solar Farms.
